Preparing For Your Stay
Food & Comforts
Please bring your dog’s regular food in a sealed container to prevent stomach upset. Personal toys or beds are welcome.
Vaccinations
Proof of current Rabies and Distemper/Parvovirus (DHPP/DA2PP) is strictly required to keep all guests safe.
14-Day Rule
Vaccines must be administered at least 14 days before check-in. Bordetella is optional but follows the same rule.
Vet Records
Vet records can be emailed to info@dogboardingkennels.ca prior to arrival to expedite your check-in process.

We know leaving your dog can be stressful — that’s why we’ve made it easy to understand how our boarding works. Here are a few of the most common questions we get at The Loyalist Barkway.
What time is checkout for boarding?
Standard checkout is 10:00 a.m. Afternoon checkout can be booked Sunday to Friday through the system for between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. If you need a different arrangement, please contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate a non-standard checkout based on availability.
How do you decide which dogs can play together?
Play groups are carefully managed based on size, temperament, energy level, and social comfort. Not every dog is suited to group play, and our priority is always safety and a calm experience.
Do you offer a quieter or more private boarding option?
Can you administer medication during my dog’s stay?
Yes. Simple medications up to twice daily are included. More complex routines may be available for an additional fee—just let us know your dog’s needs when booking.
